From Farm to Floor
In a world where machinery creates monotony, nuance and intent is of the utmost importance. Designs can be found within the crevices of bark, or the lines in the fields. At SYLVATICA, my goal was to capture the vast well of inspiration ERDEN has for their rugs, not only for innovation, but to understand the processes of creation embedded in the earth.

Beekeeping
Community is where empathy thrives. ERDEN employees have gathered honey these past few years to give as gifts and share with one another. I had the opportunity to design the lids of the honey jars as we engraved them In-Studio.

Alpaca
SYLVATICA is the home to ERDEN's alpacas. Alpaca fibre is crucial in understanding weaving as well as rug making. It's sheen, texture, and weight affects the body of a rug. Every summer, ERDEN employees have the opportunity to participate in the shearing of the farm's alpacas. These past few years I had the opportunity to photograph and film the process.

Chickens
Farm fresh eggs are gathered from Sylvatica as gifts for employees and clients. Inspiration can be found in the patterns of feathers and the spotted shells of raw eggs.
